Terms of Service
These terms describe use of the LugMIND learning service. Please read them together with the Privacy Policy. By using the service, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. What LugMIND provides
LugMIND helps users upload or import learning material and generate courses, lessons, quizzes, flashcards and AI tutor answers. Features can include voice transcription, narration, photo OCR, saved study progress and account synchronization. Availability depends on platform, service configuration, credits and supported formats. It is a learning aid, not a school, professional adviser or guarantee of learning outcomes.
Accounts and responsibility
Keep your sign-in information secure and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account; tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not impersonate others or share access in a way that bypasses safeguards. You must have the legal capacity or permissions required to use the service under applicable law, including parent or guardian permission where required.
Your materials and permissions
You retain any rights you have in the materials you submit. You must have the permissions needed to upload, import and process them, including copyrighted, confidential or third-party personal information. By submitting material, you authorize LugMIND and its service providers to process, store, transform and transmit it as needed to provide the requested learning features and operate the service. This does not transfer ownership of your source material. AI output may resemble other output or source material; we do not guarantee exclusivity or ownership rights in generated content.
AI output and source limitations
AI-generated explanations, answers, quizzes, flashcards, transcription, OCR and narration can be wrong, incomplete or misleading. Check important information against your source and qualified guidance. Teaching is intended to draw on your material; where reliable external retrieval is unavailable, the app should not imply outside claims have been verified. Automated support checks compare content with available material and do not prove factual accuracy. LugMIND is not a substitute for medical, legal, financial or other professional advice, nor for your teachers or original sources.
Acceptable use
Use the service lawfully and respect other people’s rights. Do not submit unlawful material, infringe intellectual property or privacy, harass others, distribute malware, attempt unauthorized access, extract other users’ private information, interfere with service operation, send automated spam, evade rate limits or abuse credits, trials or payment systems. Do not misrepresent AI output as independently verified or use it to facilitate prohibited conduct.
Credits, purchases and subscriptions
Some features consume credits or require a paid plan. The app and applicable purchase provider display available offers, prices, billing intervals and relevant credit charges. Review those details before purchasing or starting a paid action; these terms do not replace the offer you accept. Subscriptions may renew according to the purchase terms shown by the provider or store. Credit allocation, availability and usage follow the applicable plan and app rules; credits are not a promise of unlimited service or guaranteed results. We do not promise a universal credit-expiry rule, refund entitlement or refund exclusion in these terms.
Cancellation and refunds
Manage or cancel purchases through the applicable Stripe/web billing flow, App Store, Google Play or other purchase provider used for your transaction. Deleting your app account or uninstalling the app does not necessarily cancel a subscription or stop renewal charges. Refunds and billing corrections are subject to applicable law and the relevant purchase provider’s rules and transaction terms. Contact info@contactory.co for help identifying the correct route; do not send card details.
Third-party services
LugMIND uses configured third-party services for authentication, AI processing, infrastructure and payments, including Clerk, Replit AI Integrations, Anthropic or an OpenAI-compatible backend, OpenAI-compatible audio/vision services, Stripe and RevenueCat with the applicable stores. Optional email notifications can use Resend when configured. Their own terms and privacy practices apply to their services. Integrations and deployment configuration can change; a named integration is not a guarantee of uninterrupted availability or a particular provider retention policy.
Availability, changes and backups
Features may change, be limited or become temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, errors, capacity, third-party outages or safety measures. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Keep your original learning materials and any copies you need: local storage, synchronization and caches are not a guaranteed archival or disaster-recovery service. Changes to paid offers should be assessed against the purchase terms and applicable law.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service and use the account-deletion option. Access may be restricted or terminated where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks, legal requirements or a material breach of these terms. Where appropriate and legally required, notice or an opportunity to resolve the issue will be provided. Termination does not itself cancel a separate store/provider subscription or remove records that must lawfully be retained.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service and AI output are provided as available, without promises of accuracy, fitness for a particular learning objective, uninterrupted availability or any particular outcome. You should not rely on AI output alone for important decisions. To the extent the law permits, LugMIND is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on AI output, third-party outages or loss of local data. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited. No monetary liability cap, arbitration requirement or selected governing jurisdiction is specified here.
